Mission: At Queen's Health System, we prioritize preventive health while offering extensive gastroenterology services aimed at diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases of the digestive system. Our commitment is to promote digestive health and enhance overall well-being.
Job Overview and Responsibilities:The role involves delivering both inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services at The Queen's Medical Center (QMC). This includes direct patient care, as well as teaching and supervising residents from the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine, and other assigned students.
Clinical Duties:- Administer gastroenterology (GI) services, including endoscopic procedures for Emergency Room (ER) patients and hospitalized individuals as requested by ER physicians and QMC Medical Staff.
- Provide gastroenterology services at the Queen Emma Clinics, focusing on direct patient care and the education of students and residents from the John A. Burns School of Medicine.
- Deliver gastroenterology services in the QMC GI Office.
- Offer on-call gastroenterology coverage for the Medical Center in accordance with established protocols.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Medicine or possession of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification.
- Board Certified or Board Qualified in Gastroenterology; if board qualified, certification must be obtained within two years of starting the position.
- Possession of a current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Hawaii.
- Eligibility for a faculty appointment at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine.
Compensation: The base salary starts at $480,661 per year, with opportunities for productivity and quality incentives.
