Job Title: Rehabilitative Therapist

Berwyn South School District 100 is actively looking for a committed Rehabilitative Therapist to become a vital part of our Student Support Services team. The preferred candidate will possess either a bachelor's or master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited institution, along with a valid Illinois license to practice. Continuous professional development is anticipated to maintain current knowledge and skills relevant to school-based therapy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travels to designated educational facilities
  • Addresses consultation inquiries
  • Assesses students and documents findings
  • Creates Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives
  • Delivers services in accordance with IEP
  • Maintains effective communication with educational staff and guardians
  • Oversees Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
  • Participates in professional development workshops and conferences
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in occupational therapy
  • Valid Illinois license to practice
  • Capability to assist students with fine motor skills, sensory integration, and more
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
Compensation:In alignment with the Professional Negotiation Agreement with the local Education Association.

Performance Evaluation:Job performance will be assessed according to the Board's policy on the Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
