Position Overview
The Medical Doctors of St. John's is in search of a dedicated hospitalist to enhance their collaborative team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care at a leading health center.
- Manage an average of 15-17 patients during each 12-hour shift.
- Collaborate with a team of 7-8 hospitalists during day shifts.
- Work alongside 1-2 hospitalists during night shifts.
- Engage in concurrent rounding and admitting shifts with options for swing shifts.
- Work in a closed ICU with 24/7 in-house coverage for emergencies.
- Lead primary medicine hospitalist services and assist in post-operative surgical care.
- Fulfill an annual shift requirement of 183 shifts (12 hours each).
- Encourage applications from early to mid-career professionals.
- Possess a degree from an accredited medical institution.
- Complete an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program.
- Hold an active or eligible California medical license.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team, including primary care providers, specialists, and hospital staff.
Compensation
The compensation for this position ranges from $270,322 to $361,204 annually. This figure reflects the starting range of total compensation and may include various incentives such as productivity bonuses, quality-related incentives, and other forms of cash compensation. Additionally, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits as offered by their employer.
