- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
- 1 year of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
The Diagnostic Imaging Department at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center is a mid-size general department with 24/7 coverage. The caseload consists mainly of general abdominal, small parts, and ob/gyn examinations, with many procedures performed during the day. The department uses Epic, Siemens, Pyxis, and SBAR systems, and scrub color is not specified. The RTO is a maximum of 7 days, and compliance with all policies and procedures is required to start on time.
