BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a skilled Optical Professional to join our team. As an Optical Professional, you will be responsible for dispensing spectacles and other optical products to both adults and children, working with prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists.
Key Responsibilities:- Verify order data entry and compare Rx to original Rx provided from the doctor to ensure accuracy.
- Deliver excellent Member service in person and over the phone, explaining procedures and maintaining a friendly demeanor.
- Take measurements, select frames, read prescriptions, and notify patients of product readiness.
- Strive to deliver sales and metric goals by educating patients on available products and recommending those that improve their visual needs.
- Adhere to all privacy and confidential policies, provide support to Members, and maintain accurate funds and payments.
- Licensed to work as an optician within the State and keep license up to date and active.
- Knowledge of optical products and business practices preferred.
- High school diploma, college degree, and/or big box wholesale, retail, and/or optical experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail required.
- BJ's pays weekly.
- Eligible for free BJ's Inner Circle and Supplemental membership(s).
