This role is based in a dynamic environment, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a wide range of tasks related to the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and upkeep of production and facility equipment. The primary focus will be on adhering to safety protocols and implementing predictive and productive maintenance systems to meet the operational goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee diverse tasks to install and maintain equipment within the facility.
  • Conduct emergency repairs and perform scheduled maintenance on facility machinery.
  • Utilize mechanical skills for troubleshooting and repairing equipment, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Interpret manuals and work orders to execute necessary maintenance and service tasks.
  • Diagnose equipment issues, replace or repair components, and conduct tests and adjustments.
  • Implement regular preventive maintenance procedures for all equipment and facilities.
  • Perform plumbing and carpentry maintenance as required.
  • Employ various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in daily tasks.
  • Identify faulty operations and defective materials, reporting these issues to appropriate supervisory personnel.
  • Adhere to safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities electronically.
  • Manage budgetary constraints and spending effectively.
  • Foster positive employee relations and provide coaching and development through training and mentoring.
  • Assist in making employment decisions regarding discipline, promotions, hiring, and terminations.
  • Resolve employee issues through effective problem-solving techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while serving as a role model for expected behaviors.
  • Establish and manage standard operating procedures to ensure safe and efficient job performance.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Preferred: Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing setting, with at least two years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Skills Required:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and programmable logic controllers.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in problem-solving methodologies and root cause analysis.
  • Capability in process development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional and technical knowledge.
