Indirect Lending Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Indirect Lending Specialist to join our team at Dade County Federal Credit Union. As an Indirect Lending Specialist, you will be responsible for processing, reviewing, and funding new loan packages presented to the Credit Union for funding by approved dealers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loan Processing: Review loan documents, determine if the loan is ready to close, and verify residency and income information before funding packages.
- Underwriting: Ensure that all underwriting conditions are met prior to funding, conduct over-the-phone interviews with applicants to determine authenticity of transactions, and verify calculations related to dealer reserves, loan-to-values, and payments (Reg Z).
- Dealer Management: Handle and reconcile general ledgers pertinent to dealer reserves and indirect lending processes, follow up with dealers for missing loan documentation and information, and process and certify special loan financing programs.
- Account Opening: Perform new account openings and related functions, mail required disclosures to members, and adhere to merchandising, telephone, and other professional standards established by the Credit Union.
- Customer Service: Handle inquiries, concerns, and requests from members and dealers, communicate with higher authority when necessary, and cross-sell additional products via mail and phone.
- Reporting and Analysis: Compile daily tracking detail reports and follow up on files when needed, prepare monthly indirect lending reports, and perform other duties and projects assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Experience: 6 months of experience in a lending environment preferred.
- Language: Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
- Skills: Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, PC literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel, strong oral and written communication, strong analytical skills, ability to build effective relationships with existing and potential members and dealers, and multi-task oriented.
