Design Engineer Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Design Engineer in a Research & Development environment for a stable company with global customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and propose new or revised product concepts, ensuring manufacturing feasibility
  • Coordinate with a global team of engineers in supporting the design and development of new products
  • Resolve engineering and design-related issues as they may occur
  • Perform Mechanical simulation and tolerance analysis to ensure the design will work in all possible scenarios
  • Drive product design risk reduction efforts through validation and verification activities
  • Manage component and assembly drawing package creation, release, and modification for tooling build/modification
  • Provide support to manufacturing and quality engineering teams on assigned product lines with failure and root cause analysis for production-related quality and design issues
Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in a technical engineering discipline; mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of design engineering experience
  • 3+ years experience with project management
  • Working experience in 3D CAD systems - CREO is a must
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Good verbal and written English skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and self-driven individual with a high degree of ownership
