Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team at AMF Bakery. As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of our machinery, assemblies, and equipment. You will work with or without the aid of drawings and/or schematics, and will be required to fabricate and occasionally rework parts to complete assemblies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and follow verbal, written, and drawn instructions to assemble parts using a wide variety of fasteners and joining techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, and perform all assigned tasks in a timely manner while following safe work practices.
  • Report on assembly progress and suggest countermeasures to maintain or recover schedules.
  • Identify and suggest productivity and/or quality improvements to Supervisors and/or Engineers.

Requirements:
  • Trade school or relevant mechanical assembly experience.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute verbal, written, and drawn instructions, including 2D and 3D engineering drawings and/or schematics.
  • A solid mechanical aptitude and ability to assess a problematic situation, diagnose a potential issue, and repair the problem.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and safely operate a fork truck.
  • Ability to weld preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:
  • Typical manufacturing facility conditions, with occasional exposure to loud noises and live wires.
  • Employee must be able to stand on concrete floors for a minimum of eight hours and work in a fast-paced environment.
