Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee both long-term and short-term commodity strategies.
- Adjust corn basis and manage deferred cash bids effectively.
- Supervise inventory levels across all commodities.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for executive meetings.
- Manage railcar logistics and inventory.
- Lead the grain origination initiatives for the company.
- Utilize available tools in accordance with the risk management framework to safeguard against risks and optimize profit margins.
- Adhere to the company's risk management policies.
- Participate in industry conferences to remain informed on market trends and developments.
- Collaborate with brokers to analyze commodity market trends.
- Evaluate optimal purchasing strategies for corn.
- Oversee the sales processes for ethanol, wet cake, and distillers grains.
- Direct the company's efforts in carbon reduction and ensure compliance with carbon market regulations.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of experience in grain marketing.
- A bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business or a related field is preferred.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Capable of navigating high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Motivated to continuously learn and improve.
