Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team at Ashe Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting speech therapy programs to facilitate the development and rehabilitation of individuals with mental, physical, or emotional handicaps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate individuals' functional capacity and develop personalized treatment plans to upgrade their independence in self-care and home management.
  • Implement treatment plans through the selection of appropriate tasks, exercises, or modalities to assist individuals in developing or regaining skills necessary for meeting their goals and maximizing their functional independence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, including evaluations, re-evaluations, and progress reports, plan of treatments, physician orders, discharge summaries, and screens.
  • Consult with other rehabilitation professionals to ensure integrated and coordinated treatment approaches.
  • Design and construct adaptive equipment for individuals to maximize their functional independence in their work and living environments.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of speech therapy.
  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Speech Therapy.
  • BLS required.
