As a Medication Passer Caregiver at New Perspective, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team to provide exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications in accordance with Company medication administration policies and procedures, as well as applicable state laws.
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly caregiver task assignments, including assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as grooming, meal preparation, and other caregiving services.
- Maintain and monitor resident vital signs and weight in accordance with physician orders and/or nursing directives.
- Ensure resident apartments are maintained by making beds daily, removing trash, and keeping the bathroom sanitary and free of infection control issues.
- Collaborate with team members to create and maintain individualized resident services records.
- Notify nursing leadership of any actual or potential resident changes in condition or other care-related issues.
- Deliver care to each resident assigned in accordance with their daily assignment sheet and personalized service plan.
- Stay informed on resident history by reading each resident's social history.
- Execute resident life engagement plans in collaboration with life engagement coaches and participate in one-to-one, group, and self-directed Life Engagement opportunities.
- Complete all required training, team meetings, and online learning resources, including New Perspective and state regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred.
This position is located in a healthcare setting and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
