Amergis Healthcare Staffing is in search of a dedicated Long-Term Acute Care LPN/LVN. This role involves providing both direct and indirect patient care to individuals with complex medical needs, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care.
- Provide care to patients with intricate medical conditions.
- Document all patient care activities in accordance with the established care plan.
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained with patients, medical personnel, and colleagues.
- Create a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Experience in acute rehabilitation, including ventilator care, wound management, and care for stable post-trauma patients.
- Adhere to and support hospital policies, procedures, and objectives to ensure quality patient care.
- Revise care plans based on evaluations and changes in medical treatment.
- Implement interventions based on identified priorities and hospital standards.
- Identify and prioritize actions based on patient care needs.
- Support professional practice by adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, Joint Commission standards, state and local regulations, and the Patient's Bill of Rights.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current nursing license for the practicing state.
- Preferred: One (1) year of nursing experience in a long-term acute care setting.
- Strong communication skills to effectively exchange information with supervisors, colleagues, and clients; proficiency in English may be necessary.
- Proficient in computer usage.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
