The Mayer Center specializes in delivering holistic care for youth facing various developmental challenges. Our facility is equipped to address the physical, emotional, and behavioral requirements of children with a diverse array of developmental disorders.
Our advanced facility is meticulously designed for children and adolescents of all ages and capabilities. It features dedicated treatment zones for physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), speech therapy (ST), and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Additionally, the center boasts a comprehensive sensory gym filled with equipment aimed at exploring sensory needs and enhancing self-regulation skills.
Role Summary:
The Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant (RTA) is responsible for delivering physical therapy interventions to patients with various conditions, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role entails adhering to the established treatment protocols and seeking guidance from the therapist should any issues arise.
Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of a 2-year program as a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant
- Must hold a valid license or be eligible for licensure in the State of Connecticut
- Current CPR certification
