Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterilization Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the decontamination and sterilization processes, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation systems to support sterility maintenance.
  • Develop and implement departmental performance improvement activities to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
  • Function as a role model, demonstrating clinical judgment, technical skills, and a knowledge base appropriate to Central Sterile Reprocessing/Supply.
  • Proactively monitor, identify, and report safety-related issues to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in environmental assessments and develop unit standards to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Coordinate efforts to update policies and procedures required by federal, state, and local regulations and laws.
  • Accountable for service and quality related to patient safety, medication safety, and environment of care.
  • Provide clinical leadership and collaboration on technology integration and upgrade projects.
  • Offer input regarding departmental needs to the Director for budget process, including impact of staff participation in PI, transition planning, new technology integration, etc.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED - Required
  • Associates Degree - Preferred
  • 5 years Surgery or Sterile Processing - Preferred
  • 1 year Managerial experience - Preferred
  • Certified Central Supply Technician (CCST) - Required
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Preferred
  • Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) - Preferred
  • Certification in Healthcare Leadership (CHL) - Preferred

Travel Requirements

Up to 20% travel may be required for this role.
