We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mobile Therapist to join our team at Northern Children's Services. As a Mobile Therapist, you will provide intensive psychotherapy services to children and families in various settings, including their homes and communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide child-centered, evidence-based, family-focused individual and family psychotherapy as appropriate, addressing defined problem areas in the treatment plan.
- Ensure continuity of care by coordinating with other professionals and family members to determine necessary support services.
- Assess strengths and therapeutic needs of children and families through active listening, questioning, and information exchange.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including daily routines to enhance treatment approaches.
- Document progress notes, billing, and encounter documentation in a timely manner.
- Master's degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline, with a completed clinical or MH practicum.
- At least one year of full-time paid experience in the mental health field, with excellent working knowledge of clinical issues related to children, adolescents, and families.
- Familiarity with multiple child-serving systems, including education, juvenile justice, child welfare, mental health, drug and alcohol, healthcare, and vocational rehabilitation.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs, lift 20 lbs, operate a computer, printer, and calculator, and access public transportation.
