The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse I to join our team. As a Registered Nurse I, you will provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver safe and effective care to patients and families
- Interact with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired outcomes
- Assist at the advanced beginner level in providing individualized, goal-directed nursing care to patients and families
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
- Ability to work in a latex-safe environment
- Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking
- Ability to climb stairs and work from elevated areas
- Ability to work in confined/cramped spaces and perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted and exert up to 50 lbs. of force
- Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes
