Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a correctional facility setting. As a Correctional Healthcare Professional, you will have the opportunity to work in a unique and challenging environment, providing care to patients in a safe and secure setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take and document all patient history and vital signs.
  • Perform and document all patient history and vital signs, mental health screenings and/or evaluations.
  • Respond to and initiate care for medical and mental health emergencies.
  • Assist with daily triage/sick call, minor medical/surgical procedures, patient assessments, examinations and/or treatment.
  • Initiate and document prescribed protocol agreement.
  • Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies within the facility.
  • Observe and evaluate the performance of the licensed practical/vocational nursing staff.

About the Role

This is a part-time position working day shifts. We offer a range of schedules to fit your needs, including 8-13 week temporary contracts. Our positions encourage cross-training, and include roles such as intake booking nurse, mental health nurse, detox nurse, sick call nurse and health and physical assessments nurse.
