Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising liquid production areas, training and scheduling employees, and ensuring compliance with safety work rules and food safety & quality policies. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise liquid production areas and ensure high-quality product production at the lowest possible cost.
  • Provide a safe work environment for all personnel and enforce company policies in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Recognize and resolve operating problems to minimize their impact on operations.
  • Request and direct services of maintenance, sanitation, and other personnel as necessary.
  • Cooperate with all departments to ensure a coordinated work relationship.
  • Responsible for ingredient usage and department costs.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records, including timecards, downtime records, and absentee records.
  • Encourage suggestions from employees to improve production, quality, safety, and control costs.
  • Maintain consistent communications and monthly department meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teaming skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow directions with little/no supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to do multi-functional tasks.
  • Ability to work overtime and/or weekends when required.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.
