Job Title: School Bus Operator

Estimated Salary: $15.50-$18.50 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, split shift, 6:00 am-8:30 am & 2:00 pm-4:30 pm

This is a safety-sensitive function that requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

About the Role:

The Transportation Specialist will be responsible for providing safe transportation for clients in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the bus is washed according to the monthly schedule.
  • Turn in Gas Credit slips and Medicaid Transportation forms daily.
  • Immediately report all transportation-related incidents to Supervisor.
  • Attend weekly staff meeting.
  • Responsible for providing safe transportation.
  • Follow FCC and FPS policies and procedures.
  • Assist with taking clients to their classrooms.
  • Complete all required training in a timely manner.
  • Assist in delivering/picking up vehicles at shop.
  • Complete Work Orders on vehicle maintenance requests and other problems.
  • Keep updated bus route directions in bus at all times.
  • Ensure Daily Bus Roster is turned in.
  • Check bus at end of morning/afternoon routes to ensure no child remains on bus.
  • Complete Pre-Trip Inspections and maintain in file for review.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of both education and experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required, and a clean background check.
  • A CDL may be required based on position.
