Job Overview

In the heart of Washington, D.C., Georgetown University seeks a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our campus shuttle services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate various sizes of university transit vehicles along published routes on campus and scheduled charters in compliance with local, federal, and university regulations governing transit vehicle operations.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections and perform routine maintenance to ensure the vehicle is clean and safe to operate.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other authorized personnel to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of six months experience operating passenger buses and vans or similar public service, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License - Class B with air brake qualifications and passenger endorsement from DC, MD, or VA.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $46,171.60, based on 40 hours per week and $22.08 per hour plus a night shift differential of $1.00 per hour.
