Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at CareNow. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering exceptional medical services.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs and conducting thorough medical histories.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Assist physicians with injections, lab testing, and phlebotomy procedures, as well as apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
  • Coordinate patient physicals and work-related injuries for partner accounts, ensuring timely and efficient care.
  • Screen incoming calls for referral to physicians and practitioners, providing excellent communication and customer service skills.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting, preferably in a medical office or urgent care environment.
  • Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is highly desirable.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
  • Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is highly valued.
  • The ability to obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certificate and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start is preferred.

Work Environment

CareNow Urgent Care Clinics operate Monday through Friday from 8am – 9pm, Saturday 8am – 8pm, and Sunday 8am – 5pm. You must be flexible to work during these hours, as we strive to provide exceptional care to our patients 7 days a week.
