Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse in the ICU Department, you will deliver care to critically ill and/or injured patients. You will collaborate with a team of physicians and various healthcare professionals, assisting patients whose conditions are more severe than those in other units. Patients will often be connected to life support systems and multiple intravenous drips.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care requirements.
  • Prioritize patient care based on acuity levels and available resources.
  • Assist physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions appropriately using computerized documentation systems.
  • Provide age and culturally appropriate care.

Position Qualifications:
  • Florida RN Licensure or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).

Current Certifications:
BLS & ACLS (AHA)
  • Basic EKG course required/certification required or successful completion of an arrhythmia examination with a score of 85% or greater within 30 days of hire. 12 Lead Course preferred.
  • Intra Aortic Balloon Course mandatory or completed within two months of hire.
  • In lieu of IAB course, one year documented experience with IABC is required.
  • CCRN Certification preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong customer service skills, including effective listening abilities.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
