As a Soldering Operator, you will play a crucial role in connecting or joining electronic components using soldering methods. You will work with electronic products such as circuit boards, wires, and other electrical devices to ensure their quality and functionality. Attention to detail and knowledge of soldering techniques are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize electrical and manual tools, including soldering irons, de-soldering equipment, and solder removal tools.
  • Operate and maintain soldering equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.
  • Interpret resistor color codes and capacitor values.
  • Understand PCB assembly processes and the installation sequence of through-hole components.
  • Perform rework, repair, and modifications on printed circuit boards and assemblies as needed.
  • Provide guidance and training to lower-level Soldering Operators.
  • Test, program, and troubleshoot non-functioning boards.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in various soldering techniques: through-hole soldering, surface mount technology (SMT) soldering, and rework/reflow soldering.
  • Ability to handle and assemble small electronic and mechanical parts.
  • Comfort with sitting or standing for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 35 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior work experience in an electronics manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Familiarity with recognizing a wide range of electronic components.
