We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our team at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson, New York. As a member of our Department of Behavioral Health, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with mental health conditions.
About the Role
This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in a collaborative, team-based environment and will be eager to contribute to the growth and development of our department.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient psychiatric services to patients with a range of mental health conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in psychiatric care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- A medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of a psychiatry residency program
- Board certification in psychiatry
- Current licensure to practice medicine in New York
