Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet with customers to review technical scope and engineering requirements
  • Prepare estimates by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
  • Quote control panel, PLC, and HMI projects with minimal assistance
  • Identify labor, material, and time requirements by analyzing proposals and documents
  • Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements
  • Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Maintain cost database by entering and backing up data
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and educational background
  • 10+ years of industrial automation experience directly related to design, controls, programming, and electrical engineering
  • Past experience of extensive use of the Company's Methods, Tools, and Process specific to estimating and proposal management standards
  • Understanding of ERP / Project Costing Systems and parametric estimation tools
  • Extensive understanding of customer plans, specifications, technical documentation, and RFQ documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork
