Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer

At CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation, operational support, automation, availability, and performance management of our public cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplined IT technical teams to manage infrastructure, automation, and applications in the public cloud.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of application and infrastructure cloud readiness, and work on cloud migration plans to support on-premise moves to a cloud service.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure, including Azure and AWS, to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Work with application, development, database, and security teams to implement automation services across the infrastructure platforms.
  • Provide on-call escalation and emergency support as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of software, hardware, and/or systems engineering related experience.
  • 2+ years of cloud experience, with a strong understanding of Azure and AWS.
  • Experience supporting Azure VM, Storage, Network, Backup, and Database.
  • Cross-platform enterprise experience across IT (Server, Network, Storage, Security).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Azure Administrator certification.
  • Cloud data platform experience.
