Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in College Station, Texas.

Job Summary

The Cardiac Sonographer performs advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms, to diagnose and assess cardiac abnormalities. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures, including echocardiograms and stress tests
  • Prepare patients for procedures, obtain clinical history, and adjust imaging techniques to obtain comprehensive and diagnostic echocardiograms
  • Record statistics and perform daily maintenance of the Echocardiography Lab and its equipment
  • Act as a resource to other staff, physicians, and students regarding equipment, techniques, procedures, and studies
  • Work closely with the cardiac sonographer quality coordinator to ensure quality processes and protocols are adhered to
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
  • Less than 1 year of experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification within 6 months of hire
