We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Lake Greenwood State Park. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our park facilities and grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities related to facilities, grounds, and equipment use.
- Direct and perform miscellaneous repairs and park improvements, including carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and other duties as specified to meet established standards.
- Direct and perform clean-up and housekeeping activities to assure the attractiveness, cleanliness, and safety of park grounds and facilities.
- Plan and schedule the park maintenance program daily.
- Participate in planning work projects and the completion of these projects in a timely fashion.
- Assist with the operation of the park by completing related forms and reports, ordering and stocking items used for repair and clean-up, and performing routine patrol and close-up procedures.
- Direct or perform repairs of motorized equipment, especially that which is used in his/her area.
- Perform continuous public relations activities.
- Practice and promote teamwork within the work unit/office, throughout the agency and with external agency stakeholders.
- High school diploma or equivalent and three years' experience in building and grounds maintenance.
- A minimum of one year of supervisory experience is required.
- Position requires medium to heavy lifting, walking and standing on uneven terrain, crawling, and working at heights.
- Able to read and understand written procedures and directions, understand blueprints, and able to write specifications for materials.
- Possess a valid South Carolina Driver's License.
- Should possess or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License within a reasonable period of time.
- Should possess or be able to obtain a Wastewater Treatment License within a reasonable period of time.
- Licensed or competent in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry trades.
