Job Summary

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team in a full-time position at Telestar - Cardiac Diagnostics Inpatient. As a Cardiovascular Sonographer 2, you will be responsible for performing a variety of examinations using standard department protocols, isolation precautions, and sterile techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in performing examinations, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Recognize and resolve clinical and emergent problems that may interfere with exams, producing the most desirable outcome.
  • Communicate effectively with ordering and interpreting physicians to ensure appropriate use of examinations.
  • Properly inject IV contrast and maintain active credential status by complying with continual education requirements.
  • Identify patients and orders accurately, ensuring a high degree of accuracy.
Requirements
  • Work schedule: full-time Monday - Friday
  • Location: Telestar - Cardiac Diagnostics Inpatient
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school/program of diagnostic medical sonography or five years of specialized training in a hospital/healthcare setting
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience after acquiring registry in a hospital/healthcare environment in the performance of cardiac or vascular sonography
  • Certification: BLS from the AHA; ARDMS with RDCS Certification, or CCI with RCS Certification for Echo
