Position Overview:
As the Kitchen Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the efficient and effective preparation of high-quality dishes. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining the reputation of our restaurant and ensuring a delightful dining experience for our patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management: Inspire, train, and motivate kitchen staff to excel in their roles. Promote a positive work culture and encourage collaboration.
- Menu Development & Execution: Work alongside the chef to create and refresh the menu. Ensure uniformity in food preparation and presentation.
- Inventory & Supply Management: Keep track of inventory levels and place orders as necessary. Cultivate vendor relationships to secure top quality and pricing.
- Cost Control: Supervise food costs, labor expenses, and waste to enhance profitability. Implement cost-saving strategies without sacrificing quality.
- Food Safety & Sanitation: Guarantee that all kitchen operations adhere to health and safety regulations. Maintain a tidy and organized kitchen environment.
- Quality Assurance: Evaluate food quality from preparation to serving, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards before reaching the customer.
- Problem Resolution: Tackle any challenges that arise during service, whether related to staff, equipment, or customer feedback.
- Staff Scheduling: Develop and manage kitchen staff schedules to ensure sufficient coverage during all shifts.
- Training & Development: Provide continuous training to kitchen staff, ensuring they possess the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their duties effectively.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar position in a high-volume restaurant.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Outstanding leadership and team management abilities.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage high-pressure situations.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Culinary school degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Solid grasp of cost control and inventory management.
- Ability to foster a positive and productive work atmosphere.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
