LC Industries is seeking a skilled Assembler, General to join our manufacturing team. As an Assembler, General, you will be responsible for assembling metal or plastic products, partially or completely, working at a bench or on a shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble metal or plastic products, partially or completely, working at a bench or on a shop floor.
- Position parts according to knowledge of the unit being assembled.
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
- Remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce a close fit between parts.
- Operate drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operations.
- Notify the department supervisor or quality control personnel when there is a problem with quality.
- Notify the department supervisor or maintenance personnel if adjustments need to be made to machine controls and guides.
- Work overtime as required.
- Report potential safety problems to the department supervisor and maintain a clean work area.
- Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance.
- Interact with co-workers in a cooperative and professional manner.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
- Three to six months related experience and/or training preferred.
The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but hearing protection may be required depending on the department where the employee is assigned.
