Your Role with Us:

Salem Health is seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our esteemed Orthopedics team in our Total Joints clinic.

The Orthopedic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for delivering high-quality medical care as outlined in their Collaboration Agreement. This position will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Works as a valued member of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team, collaborating with other members to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex conditions.
  • Demonstrates advanced competencies and skills in assessing patients' physical and psychosocial status, plays an active role in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team, promotes preventive health measures, manages acute and chronic conditions, and participates in the development of clinical protocols.
  • Participates in the improvement of clinic processes in association with the clinic management team and staff, positively engages as an active provider team member to provide education to medical students as needed, and engages with the Medical Director to determine optimal hours of operation.
  • May participate in Lean activities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the clinic.
Background/Expertise:
  • Current PA/NP license in good standing issued by the Oregon Medical Board (OMB).
  • Hold DEA certification.
  • Maintenance of American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Successful completion of the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination.
  • One (1) year of experience as a surgical NP or PA preferred.
  • One (1) year of experience in orthopedic surgery practice preferred.
  • One (1) year of experience in Orthopedics Total Joints preferred.
