About the Role:

Position: Machine Operator

Compensation: $22/Hour

Work Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prioritize safety in all tasks and responsibilities.
  2. Under supervision, operate various types of punch press machinery, including coil or sheet-fed presses and drill presses, ensuring proper feeding and control.
  3. Interpret work orders and technical drawings for each task, applying shop math as needed to guarantee the correct types, quantities, and quality of parts produced.
  4. Utilize precision measuring and gauging instruments to conduct inspections of parts before and during production runs.
  5. Continuously monitor machinery to ensure optimal operation.
  6. Complete all required documentation related to job tracking and timekeeping.
  7. Engage in ongoing learning about machine operations to enhance skills and proficiency, including setup of more complex machinery.
  8. Collaborate closely with team members and other departments under supervision.
  9. Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  2. Basic proficiency in mathematics (including fractions and decimals).
  3. Ability to address and resolve issues as they arise.
  4. Strong attention to detail.
  5. Effective communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
  2. Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle precision tools.
  3. Regular bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reaching with arms and hands.
  4. Capability to stand or sit for the duration of the shift as necessary.
  5. Good vision and hearing are essential.
  6. Moderate physical strength and stamina, along with hand-eye coordination and dexterity, are required.
