About the Role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel and villa guest rooms, public areas, and back of the house executive offices. This includes supervising a team of housekeeping staff, establishing and interpreting housekeeping policies, and ensuring that all areas are kept up to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure they are meeting the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service.
• Establish and interpret housekeeping policies and procedures to ensure consistency across the hotel and villa guest rooms and public areas.
• Conduct regular inspections of the hotel and villa guest rooms, public areas, and back of the house executive offices to ensure they are clean and well-maintained.
• Work closely with the engineering department to ensure that any maintenance or repair issues are addressed promptly.
• Develop and implement a cleaning schedule for the hotel and villa guest rooms, public areas, and back of the house executive offices.
• Ensure that all amenities and supplies are maintained and replenished as needed.
• Respond to and inspect routine calls for safety hazards and clean up spills, broken glass, and other housekeeping opportunities.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have at least two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a resort or hotel setting. They will have strong leadership and public interaction skills, be able to make decisions, communicate effectively, and relate well with others. A neat appearance, an interest in interior design and planning, and a willingness to assume responsibility are definite assets. Good typing and computer skills are necessary, and the ability to speak foreign languages is a plus.
