Safety and Security Officers play a crucial role in supporting direct care staff by overseeing the well-being of clients. They engage both youth and adults in addressing safety and security issues, assisting care providers in fulfilling patient needs, activities, and responsibilities. These representatives model safe and constructive behavior while employing effective problem-solving techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise unit activities and monitor patient movement.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment.
  • Adhere to individualized treatment plans while providing patient support.
  • Assist in supervision, engagement, and crisis management.
  • Accurately document and enter information using KVC software.
  • Record client behaviors and interactions.
  • Maintain personal profiles and track paid time off through KVC HRIS.
  • Facilitate patient transportation and assist with meal preparation and laundry as required.
  • Participate in staff meetings and complete necessary training sessions.

Work Schedule:

Onsite/Full-Time

Location:

Olathe, KS

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience and/or training, including intermediate computer skills in typing, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Valid Auto Insurance.
