Position Title: Senior Transportation Engineering Technician

Overview:
The Senior Transportation Engineering Technician will be an integral part of the District Design Office, focusing on advanced engineering and construction tasks related to highway and bridge projects.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals for intricate projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
2. Maintain detailed project and design cost records, while evaluating the performance of team members.
3. Establish and nurture effective working relationships with various stakeholders, including consultants, suppliers, and government entities.
4. Assure the quality of all work performed or overseen, preparing thorough engineering and environmental reports.
5. Develop schedules for maintenance operations and monitor adherence to these schedules.
6. Conduct initial reviews of major construction plans to ensure adherence to highway safety principles.
7. Supervise the inventory and analysis of traffic control devices within the assigned area.

Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts and urban transportation planning principles.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EEO, Environmental protection, and Traffic Maintenance requirements.
- Ability to supervise laboratory testing and inspections effectively.
- Proficient in preparing maintenance and utilization reports for equipment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with various stakeholders.

Education and Experience:
- Certification as a Senior Transportation Engineering Technician is required.
- An Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field, along with significant experience in a technical role within civil engineering, is preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar technical discipline may also fulfill the educational requirements.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of vital transportation infrastructure.
