BAYADA Hospice Volunteer Opportunity

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Hospice Volunteers, providing essential support to clients and their families in Atlantic and Cape May Counties.

About the Role:

  • Assist with home management tasks, such as light housekeeping and meal preparation.
  • Provide companionship and friendship to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Offer caregiver relief, allowing family members and caregivers to take a break and recharge.
  • Participate in specialty areas, such as Reiki, Massage, Pet Therapy, Craft Volunteer, End of Life Doula, and more.
  • Share special talents, such as music or art, to bring joy and comfort to clients.
  • Transport clients to appointments, as needed, and assist with clerical work and other office tasks.
  • Help plan memorial services and provide bereavement support to loved ones.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English.
  • Meet all state requirements for volunteers, where applicable.
  • Meet the BAYADA requirements and state regulations for the discipline, if providing professional services.
