Job Summary:

Ascension Saint Thomas is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will work closely with physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care and support the development of individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.
• Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
• Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient treatment interventions given.

Requirements:

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Physical Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
