Job Title: Resident Caregiver

Arden Courts Linden Village, a ProMedica Senior Living Community, is seeking a part-time Resident Caregiver with a $1,250 Sign-On Bonus.

Job Summary:

The Resident Caregiver assists residents in all aspects of their daily life, as indicated in the resident service plan, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. This position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to the constant interaction with residents and families to guarantee their satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Manage resident behavior and provide socialization and activities
  • Provide information and orientation to residents and families
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly; previous dementia experience preferred
  • Certification required according to state regulations; must successfully complete the required Arden Courts' training
Physical Demands:

The Resident Caregiver must be able to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; full use of hands, arms, and legs (for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning); ability to read thermometers, charts, and testing equipment and operate clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances.
