The ideal candidate will manage med/surg and telemetry patients boarding in the ED, with the possibility of being moved to the telemetry or med/surg units.



Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough care assessments, incorporating patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population-specific, and diversity needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, integrating direct and indirect patient care activities related to diagnosis and co-morbidities.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in bedside report to ensure continuity of care and address patient concerns.
  • Provide patients with caregiver contact information and support their educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, promoting a patient-centered care delivery model.
  • Document patient care accurately, including vaccination screening and administration or refusal.
  • Initiate diagnosis-specific care plans for all admissions and demonstrate competence in restraint application, assessment, and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with additional languages preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge is required.

The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
