Healthcare Operations Assistant

Northern Light Health is seeking an experienced Unit Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will provide administrative support to our healthcare services, ensuring seamless coordination of unit activities. Your responsibilities will include managing patient records, processing physician orders, and maintaining a safe environment.
About the Job:
This is a full-time opportunity with a salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus. You will be based at our Mercy Fore River location, working alternate shift schedules. To succeed in this role, you will need a strong understanding of medical terminology and hospital procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate assigned unit activities, including scheduling appointments and transporting patients;
* Manage patient records, including assembling charts, filing information, and entering orders into computer systems;
* Process physician orders, such as transcribing orders and flagging charts appropriately;
* Maintain a safe environment by reporting and addressing environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and protocol;
About You:
You will need a high school diploma or equivalent, a Certified Nursing Assistant certification, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to lift 30-50 pounds and work alternate shift schedules.
