Job Summary:
ICC (Intensive Care Consortium) is seeking an experienced acute care nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our team at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital in Loxahatchee, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
- 18-bed ICU – medical and surgical
- 24/7 coverage – 1 MD - day/ 1 APP night with MD call coverage
- Fulltime (15 shifts/mo) - nights only 7 pm - 7 am
- APP providers must be proficient with, and credentialed to perform routine Critical Care procedures including central and arterial line placement, thoracentesis, intubations and management of mechanical ventilation, work independently, and be able to carry patient load of 8-10 patients per shift.
- 3-5-day block scheduling
- Acute care certification required for NPs; 2-3 years' experience in the ICU for PAs
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Florida
- Acute care certification required for NPs; 2-3 years' experience in the ICU for PAs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and move quickly when needed
