Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

At Giving Home Health Care, we are dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized in-home health care to individuals impacted by conditions contracted while working in nuclear energy programs for the Department of Energy.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a caring and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in San Tan Valley, AZ. As a CNA, you will provide direct patient care within the patient's home, under the direction of the RN, and according to the Aide Plan of Care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct patient care within the patient's home, under the direction of the RN, and according to the Aide Plan of Care.
  • Appropriately reports changes in the patient's condition to the RN/the care team and documents pertinent information.
  • Practices in accordance with accepted infection control principles. Provides a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
  • Provides necessary assistance to patients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, proper nutrition, and adequate fluid intake.
  • Promotes positive, supportive, and respectful communication with patients/clients, caregiver(s), families, and other employees.
  • Provides assistance to patients with safe transfers and ambulation per the Agency policies.
  • Completes yearly education hours.
Requirements:
  • Current CPR certification
  • CNA Certification
  • Current First Aid certification
  • TB test & physical examination
  • Ability to monitor vital signs
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Caring and compassionate personality
  • Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients
  • Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • 1+ year of caregiving experience
Compensation:

$18 - $18 an hour

$1000 engagement bonus

The engagement bonus is eligible for payment following 90 days of service to your patient(s) and the Company.
