Job Summary:

This role supports all Test Fleet Activities as needed, determined by Management or Station Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed and thorough inspections and repair of all test vehicles.
  • Perform SW and HW updates, including reporting systems, with guidance from Sr. Technicians.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of test vehicles as defined.
  • Provide full vehicle support for entire concern test vehicles as requested.
  • Assist in maintaining workshop tool, tire, and service part inventory.
  • Provide technical support for visiting test groups.
  • Install, remove, and maintain data logging equipment for information gathering from vehicles.
  • Inspection of assigned vehicles.
  • Receiving of parts from Germany and other stations.
  • Sampling and collection of fluids with full documentation.
  • Maintain and update engineering tools, such as iDEX, Diagra, ODIS, and CP Tool, with guidance from Sr. Technicians.
  • Prepare vehicles for scrapping.
  • Prepare vehicles for rotation for external drivers.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of job-related experience in the automotive industry.
  • Automotive vocational technical training.
  • Dealership product training.
  • Certificate in Automotive Technology.
  • At least two ASE Certifications.

Desired Skills:

  • Diagnostic experience, including VAS testers.
  • Self-organized.
  • Organize and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Resource management.
  • German and/or Spanish language skills.
  • Forklift certification and operation.

Work Environment:

  • Work schedule based on business requirements (min. 40 hours/week) including occasional Saturday or occasional overtime.
  • Occasional domestic travel required for business & training and possibly to international locations.
  • Often driving a motor vehicle, including performance class, special training required.
