Geologist - Underground Mine Expert

We are seeking a Geologist to join our team at the Turquoise Ridge Underground mine. As a key member of our underground operations, you will play a crucial role in collecting and analyzing geologic data to inform material management and modeling.

• Supervise, mentor, and train junior geologists, ensuring they develop plans and maintain their skills.
• Drive a zero-harm workplace through leadership, stop work responsibility, and other safety programs.
• Build collaborative relationships with key departments, including Engineering, Operations, Process, Environment, Growth, Exploration, Safety, and Finance.
• Develop and maintain geological mapping, material management, and reporting best practices within the team.
• Monitor QA/QC practices to ensure compliance with company standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Support site reconciliation by identifying variances, providing solutions, and engaging with resource and modeling teams.
• Contribute to the integration of orebody knowledge across the business and provide input into yearly business plans.
• Monitor departmental KPIs to ensure agreed work programs, costs, and ounce delivery targets are met.
• Pursue opportunities for improvement and present solutions through change management.

A Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field is required. We prefer candidates with at least five years of experience in underground mine geology, strong technical leadership, and excellent interdepartmental communication skills. Familiarity with Deswik, Leapfrog, and Acquire software is an asset.
