The Riverside Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN to join our Float Pool team. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking to expand their skills in various departments.
Certification Requirements- Mandatory Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Preferred).
- Licensure: Must possess an active Illinois nursing license.
- Position: Float Pool RN 14050
- Department: Float Pool | RN
- Units Included: 5 MedSurg, 5 Med Peds, Tele IMCU REHAB, and Behavioral Health.
- Experience: Candidates should have experience in Cath lab recovery for IMCU. First-time travelers are not eligible for the float pool.
- Experience Level: Minimum of 2 years required; prior float experience is preferred.
- Shifts: 12-hour shifts, with mental health shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.
- Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday.
- Experience with EPIC: Required.
- Travel Experience: Preferred.
- Nurse-Patient Ratios: 1:5-6; IMCU 1:5.
- Drip Titration: RNs are not required to titrate drips, except for heparin per protocol.
- Common Medications: Heparin, lasix, amio, cardizem, dobutamine, insulin (glucomander).
- Charge Nurse Responsibilities: Charge nurses will take patients during nights, weekends, and holidays.
- RT Equipment: Vents only available in ICU.
- Tele Monitoring: Med/Tele with remote tele monitoring available 24/7.
- Unit Assignment Notification: Must call in for unit assignment no more than 1 hour before the shift.
- Shift Schedule: 5-5, 12-hour shifts, with mental health shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.
- Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday.
- Nurse Aids: CNAs available with a 1:10 ratio.
- Sitter Services: Non-CNA sitters are available.
- Orientation: 1-12 hour shift on one unit for orientation.
- All submissions are required for consideration.
- Local candidates will be considered.
- Clinical prescreening is required by the facility.
- If recommended, the hiring manager has 24 hours to accept or decline the candidate.
