Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Ohio State's Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital. As a key member of our CVOR team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and technical expertise in cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of cardiovascular and thoracic instruments and equipment.
  • Participate in the setup and operation of cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, including general OR, thoracic, vascular, and cardiac surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure aseptic technique and maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment.
  • Document equipment and instrument usage, and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and be available to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility and 1 full year in CVOR required.
  • Experience with cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, including general OR, thoracic, vascular, and cardiac surgical procedures.
  • Professional knowledge of aseptic technique and computerized charting with EPIC.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National certification for Surgical Technologists preferred.
  • Experience with crash cart, scrub, and circulate procedures.
