About the Role

Harper Engineering Co. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabrication Specialist to join our Machine Shop team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks to support the fabrication of metallic and non-metallic parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare work pieces by using band saws, shear or abrasive saws
  • Operate various machine shop tools and equipment to produce required products
  • Perform secondary operations such as deburring and cleaning parts
  • Read and follow blueprints, sketches, drawings, and work instructions to fabricate products
  • Inspect and measure machined workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometer
  • Assist with maintaining shop equipment, including cleaning, preventive maintenance as scheduled, and repair maintenance as required
  • Assist with cleaning and maintaining the building and surrounding property
  • Perform other duties as needed to meet Company objectives
Requirements
  • Ability to lift 40lbs

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent required
