Job Summary

The MRI Technologist is a critical member of our healthcare team, responsible for performing high-quality MRI imaging procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong foundation in medical imaging, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Procedures: Perform MRI imaging procedures on patients, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate MRI equipment, including adjusting scanning protocols as needed to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of an accredited MRI Technologist program.
  • Certification: Advanced certification in MRI by ARRT or ARMRIT, or MRI Registry-eligible with certification within one year of hire.
  • Experience: One year of MRI experience preferred.
  • Skills: Good working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, proficiency in venipuncture, and ability to set up and operate MRI equipment.
